12.2.1: Ethical Sourcing Policy
KAU has a policy on ethical sourcing of food and supplies which ensures that the products being sourced, are obtained in a responsible and sustainable way, that the workers involved in making them are safe and treated fairly and that environmental and social impacts are taken into consideration during the sourcing process.
12.2.3: Waste Disposal Policy - Hazardous Materials
KAU has a well defined policy on waste disposal, which covers hazardous materials that could be biological, chemical, radiological, and/or physical, and which has the potential to cause harm to humans, animals, or the environment, either by itself or through interaction with other factors.
12.2.4: Waste Disposal Policy - Landfill
KAU has a well defined policy on waste disposal related to measuring the amount of waste sent to landfill and recycled.
12.2.5: Policy for Minimization of Plastic Use
KAU has a defined policy around the minimization of plastic use.
12.2.6: Policy for Minimization of Disposable Items
KAU has a defined policy around the minimization of disposable items.
12.2.7: Outsourced Services & the Supply Chain Policies
KAU ensures that these defined policies extend and apply to outsourced services and the related supply chain, including services like food catering/canteens, cleaning, security guards, and other services.
12.2.8: Outsourced Suppliers & the Supply Chain Policies
KAU ensures that these defined policies extend and apply to outsourced suppliers and the related supply chain, including suppliers of equipment, stationary, building contracts, and other suppliers.
