With graduation approaching quickly, senior Maggie Anzells feels "super excited but nervous" about attending college in the fall. She said,  "I feel sad to leave many of my closest friends behind, but I am excited to experience college and meet new people."

In college, Maggie plans to pursue biology and dance. She explains,  "I hope to study biology in college to become a dermatologist. I also want to minor in dance. I want to continue dancing and possibly dance professionally in the future."

Dancing is a valuable passion of Maggie's. She has danced for years, is "passionate about dance," and thus, "want[s] to be on a college dance team."

Furthermore, by 2034, Anzells anticipates being "on a path to becoming a dermatologist, traveling, and dancing," and she plans to "continue reading a lot of books" as she "love[s] to read."

Looking back on her 4 years at Aurora, her memories of being a part of the dance team are among her fondest.

Anzells described that "Performing at high school football games with the dance team, the highlights" was her favorite high school memory. She "loved being the captain and performing under the lights."

As Maggie moves on from Aurora, staff members' impacts on her will continue to resonate with her.

Among the AHS staff, a specific member stood out to Maggie. She explained: "Mrs. Biro has impacted me by believing in me and encouraging me through the Honors Bio and AP Bio courses. I truly learned so much through taking those challenging classes, and it taught me a lot about myself. It was evident that Mrs. Biro cared about her students and would be happy to help us through something we did not understand, especially by opening up her classroom to us after school."

As Maggie parts from Aurora, she leaves underclassmen with this advice: "Studying actually works and helps a lot throughout high school. Also, try your best; your best will look different every day, and that's ok. Your work ethic and perseverance will eventually pay off, and you will be happy you put in the work."

Additionally, Maggie expressed, "I am grateful for all of my teachers and mentors that I have learned from at AHS. I am so thankful to attend a high school that has such a focused and supportive environment. I am excited for the next chapter."

Finally, she leaves with a final senior quote: "She believed she could, so she did."
