Drug-Free Club pledges to a Drug-Free Life

Drug-Free Club is a club at Aurora High School that pledges to live a life without the use of drugs. While the club does not have consistent meetings, it is run in room 98 by Mrs. Foster and Mrs. Duncan.

During a student's time in the Drug-Free club, they can be randomly selected to take a drug test. If the student passes the test their name is put in a raffle and they are eligible to win various prizes. An advisor of the club, Mrs. Foster, states that “The purpose of Drug-Free club is to support and spread the message about the importance of living a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle”.

Students can join the Google Classroom to see all messages and announcements for the club, but there are no steady meetings that they have to attend. If students participate and pass the drug test they have the chance to win rewards such as gift card raffles, and food freebies. In the spring, there is a possibility of winning a car or scholarship. Aurora High School has previously partnered with Ganley Chevrolet of Aurora, who provided the cars to winning students. The drug-free club is a great club and a way to stay involved by also introducing possible rewards for students. Turn in your $10 and parent signature to Mrs. Foster to become a member of the drug-free club!
