Swifties are shaking it off at The Eras Tour

Lover, Fearless, evermore, reputation, Speak now, Red, folklore, 1989, Midnights. Taylor Swift has been breaking our economy and generation. Fans wait and wait for her to drop a new album even right after she drops one because they crave her. Swift has the ability to write in a way that no artist has been able to; she connects with her fans in an emotional aspect that creates this craving for more from her. Luckily for them, she is currently on tour which is known as “The Eras Tour.” Where she has combined all of her albums to give a little bit of everything and it seems to be what the people want.

As Swift began her tour, she broke records in every city due to the revenue she brought in. For example, “Swifties generated $46 million in direct spending in Pittsburgh when Taylor Swift brought The Eras Tour to Acrisure Stadium, according to a recent VisitPITTSBURGH press release.” Swift has broken more records than almost any artist, as she breaks her own records over and over again and will continue to. Breaking records is not new to her; she has the most number-one albums by a woman in history, she has the most streamed country album (Speak Now Taylors version) in a single day on Spotify, and she continues to break attendance records in stadiums due to her concerts. Not to mention she did this is all done in 2023.

The eras tour has easily changed the music industry. As every single stadium has been sold out, people are begging on the streets for people to sell their tickets, listening outside of the stadium, etc. The Taylor Swift Eras tour is a concert of a mix of all Taylor albums. It consists of about 5 songs from each “era”. The order of her era setlist goes Lover, Fearless, evermore, reputation, Speak Now, Red, folklore, 1989, two Surprise Song, and Midnights. The songs we get to hear are her most popular from each era. However, at each of her concerts, she performs a surprise song which is a song that was not on her set list, which she changes every time. Swift's performance is like no other. She continuously changes outfits for each era. She has so many huge, cool props. She speaks to the audience to keep them engaged (as if they aren’t already). She also knows how to get the crowd going.

My experience at the Eras tour was honestly incomparable to any other concert I've been to. As I walked in I was in awe of seeing everyone dressed up like no other day, a full sleeve of bracelets, and all the swifties come together. I have grown up listening to and loving Taylor Swift. I have gone to 3 of her concerts now in my life, The Eras tour has been by far my favorite. She played her best songs from each album so even if you are not a complete swiftie, you know most of the songs. Not to mention the best part, the surprise songs. Everyone is antsy to hear what songs she's gonna on their night. I was nervous because there are definitely some Taylor Swift songs that I don't really know. I went with my best friend, Gianna, and her coming also had a big impact on me having such a good time. The whole time I had the biggest smile on my face, even as I was screaming every song. However, as I was waiting for Taylor to start singing, she teases you in the beginning, she started to slowly play her song, Gianna and I tried to figure it out with every note she played. We started crying. She played our song. Mr. Perfectly fine. Whenever Gianna and I are in the car, that is the first song we play and scream our hearts out. So on top of the great performance, hearing all my favorite songs, and being with my best friend, I got the best surprise song.

Most people don't care where their seats are as long as they get to see Swift. The crazy thing is, there really isn’t a bad seat in the stadium. When I went, I had bleeders but they were still very good seats, you could see everything and hear everything perfectly clear. When you think about buying Swifts tickets, you probably assume they are very expensive. Yes, the floor seats are but the nose bleeders aren't as bad. When we bought tickets, we got them for $15 each. However, the price of your ticket does depend on which city you go to. My ticket was a nose bleeder in Pittsburg, but in California, they went for $600. As you can probably guess, floor seats are more expensive. Some people even go to different states to see her, which isn’t a bad idea! So if you are a big Swiftie and want this experience I would purchase those tickets.

In conclusion, I do really believe that going to The Eras Tour is very much worth it. From the price of the tickets to the whole performance and experience. I enjoyed it so much, I am seeing her again next year. As a Swiftie or not, it will be the best night of your life.
