Every teenager's perfect night involves late-night trips to get cookies with friends and blasting music in the car. Luckily, the rapidly growing franchise Crumbl Cookies has grown in popularity as it has entered cities around our community. Crumbl Cookies has opened in Macedonia, Stow, Solon, and, the newest addition, Streetsboro. With these cookies near us, many have discovered these gourmet cookies and their delectable taste. You might wonder, isn’t Crumbl Cookies just like any cookie you can buy at the grocery store? The answer is blatantly no. Crumbl Cookies specializes in huge cookies with new unique flavors every week. Each week, Crumbl offers a rotating menu, featuring 7 new cookies and one returning cookie, their delicious classic chocolate chip cookie. Popular flavors, treats, and desserts inspire their different flavors each week. With all this in mind, let's play some music and drive into the latest flavors of cookies during the week of 11/4-11/9.
Your mouth will water with my personal favorite flavor of this week: the New York Cheesecake. As indicated on the Crumbl website, “[This flavor is] a chilled buttery graham cracker cookie swirled with vanilla cheesecake frosting and sprinkled with a graham cracker streusel.” The show-stopper of this cookie was its moist base and sweet cream cheese frosting, which made me come back for more. Many people have posted positive reviews on social media, agreeing with me on this delicious cookie.
Moving on to the next best, the original pink sugar cookie. As mentioned on the Crumbl website, “This cookie is a chilled shortbread-type base sugar cookie infused with notes of butter and almond extract] topped with a perfect pink swoop of real almond frosting.” This heavenly cookie is sure to please many people including Natalie Magdics, a junior here at AHS who can concur, “This is my favorite cookie because I love the almond frosting and the texture of the cookie base. I wish it was offered every week!” Although my friends and I enjoy this cookie, some people do not want it because of the almond extract infused in it, some people do not enjoy it. This is a type of treat that you either love or you hate. So when this cookie returns to Crumbl’s menu, head over and decide for yourself.
In addition to these cookies is the Peanut Butter Blossom. According to the Crumbl website, “[This is] an iconic [warm] peanut butter cookie rolled in white sugar and decorated with a rich swoop of fudge frosting.” This cookie base will satisfy us humans and our dogs who crave a daily dose of peanut butter. I thoroughly enjoyed this cookie as I am a big peanut butter lover; however, their tastiness could be deemed controversial or unliked by those who oppose peanut butter. Even so, for all who love peanut butter give this cookie a try and I promise you will not be disappointed.
The strawberry cupcake is the last cookie dessert lovers want to make sure they try. As stated in the Crumbl website, “[The strawberry cupcake is a warm] vanilla cupcake cookie with a [divine] swirl of strawberry cream cheese frosting and a splash of white sprinkles.” This cookie was incredible, the strawberry frosting tasted exactly like strawberry ice cream with inclusions of real strawberries in the frosting. The cookie had a moisture-laden base with hints of vanilla infused into it. As much as I enjoyed this cookie, I rated it as my least favorite because it was just a little too sweet for my liking. I feel the other cookies had a better balance of flavors and sweetness than this cookie. However, I did enjoy this cookie and would recommend trying it especially if you are fond of a scoop of strawberry ice cream on your late-night drives with your friends.
To conclude, I would like to declare that I thoroughly enjoyed these cookies for the week of November 4-9th. I would endorse these cookies for any day of the week and propose that anyone try them when they return to Crumbl’s rotating menu. The Crumbl Cookie industry has grown substantially over its last 7 years in business and they will continue to expand in popularity throughout small communities like ours that love getting cookies with their friends and blasting some music under glowing street lights. So, drive into next week and try some cookies for yourself and fall in love with Crumbl’s take on state-of-the-art cookies.
