Ava McGovern

Ava is a senior and a first year journalism student. Outside of being a journalist for The Gambit, she is a part of Student Council, Interact, NHS, and the Aurora Volleyball team. She is the Public Relations officer of Student Council and the Varsity captain for the volleyball team. In her free time, she reads, plays the guitar, and babysits a little girl named Ronan. She is close with her 3 younger brothers: Luke, Marc, and Nico. She loves listening to music. Some of her favorite artists include Frank Ocean, Daniel Caesar, and SZA. She is also very passionate about style, investing much of her time in the depths of Pinterest. Her favorite classes of all time at AHS were Psychology and U.S. Government. Her goal after she graduates is to attend The Ohio State University majoring in Psychology or Criminology in hopes of becoming an FBI Agent. She is excited to be writing for The Gambit!
