Bella Shorr: Future Environmental Policy and Philosophy Major

Senior, Isabella Shorr is attending the Ohio State University and is double majoring in Environmental policy and decision-making as well as Philosophy, politics, and economics. Bella says, “I would like to go into environmental policy/law and potentially work for the EPA in the future.”

When looking towards the future, she says, “I see myself in 2034 working for the EPA or potentially still in law school.”

With graduation quickly approaching, she says, “I am very excited for the graduation and the future, albeit I am a little conflicted to leave a place I’ve been all my life, so overall, I am excited but melancholic.”

She talks about Mr. Rubin and says that he has been the most influential teacher during her time at AHS. She shared, “AP government helped me realize my love for law and helped change my perspective for my future career.”

Bella advises underclassmen to "fully use the resources that are given to you. There's a lot of great clubs and classes at high school, and it’s best to do what makes you happy, passionate, and fulfilled while you still can.”

Lastly, Bella's final message is: “Nothing will be perfect but you can still do the best you can.”
