Christina Crawford

is trading her flag for a stethoscope

By Maddie Lancon

Senior Christina Crawford is ready for purple and gold, tigers, and tons of school pride as she gets ready to live that southern life at Louisiana State University. Why LSU? Christina says that she's always loved animals and that she couldn't see herself doing anything else, so it seemed natural to apply to a school known for its veterinarian course.

This senior says she's ready for college, but is going to miss the people she loves from here.“Definitely Bittersweet (about graduating). I am excited to open a new chapter in my life but I will miss my friends so much.”

After college and in the years to come, Crawford would like to have a good job and a family, she says she is, “Hopefully running a successful veterinary hospital with a husband and maybe some kids.”

Crawford says her favorite memory from highschool was her senior night in band, “I felt so loved by my flag girls and just had an incredible performance that night.”

Within her years of high school she couldn't pick a more influential teacher but it's a close call between two, Mr. Rubin and Mrs. Watt. “It would be a toss up between Mrs. Watt and Mr. Rubin. Both teachers helped me embrace my true self and getting to have them as teachers has been incredible.”

Crawford’s advice to the underclassmen is to “Apply yourself even if the task seems trivial.”

We've all looked into the future and asked ourselves where we plan to be, Crawford says,”Hopefully I'm running a successful veterinary hospital with a husband and maybe some kids.”

This senior's final message as she leaves our Greenhouse is this, "High school isn’t forever. embrace it while you can.” Crawford’s life motto aligns with this. Diana Ross said it best,” You’ve got to get out there and make it happen for yourself.” Follow with Crawford and make things happen.
