Mr. Price is a history teacher at AHS. He teaches AP World History and recently introduced a new course called History Through Film. He also is one of the coaches for the football team.
Price explains why he wanted to become a teacher: “I had several teachers who have influenced me both as a student and as an athlete, and many of them are still mentors and friends today. Working at a summer camp throughout high school solidified my passion for working with children, and I always knew teaching was the path for me.”

Price reflects on his favorite memory of teaching. He says, “That’s a tough one because I’ve had so many amazing moments. But nothing beats reconnecting with students and athletes years after they’ve graduated. It’s always a highlight to hear how they’re doing and to catch up on their lives.”
He explains that he has most frequently teaches freshmen, but he has taught almost every grade: “I’ve taught 9th grade each of the 16 years I have been here, and I really enjoy working with freshmen. That said, I’ve taught every grade level except sophomores, and each group offers a unique and rewarding environment in the classroom.”
When asked why Price wanted to become a teacher, he credits multiple mentors: “I had several teachers who have influenced me both as a student and as an athlete, and many of them are still mentors and friends today.
