Welcome! I am sure that you have learned a lot and enjoyed US History 1, but I am even more excited about all that you will study in the next section of your course. No matter what your interests there seems to be a topic that everyone can embrace and enjoy this trimester. I am very eager to get to know all of you and work together as we experience what life was like from the 1940s to the turn of the new century. Please use the announcements as a way to keep track of assignments and to prepare for tests/projects. NOTE: Class Periods 4 and 5 will have an outstanding student teacher from Indiana State University by the name of Miss Kaitlin Smith. When she takes over these class starting next week her procedures and information will be shared. Student teachers are an excellent opportunity for learning from all those involved. I am very excited to welcome her as part of our classroom for the next 5 weeks.
MONDAY 3/10--Welcome to the course. Explain procedures, website, Engrade. Song of what we will be studying along with history scramble activity.
TUESDAY 3/11--Explain Daily Work (DW) and handout questions for the week, Begin reading Chapter 13 WWII with guided notes-handouts of Ch 13
WEDNESDAY 3/12--DW, Go over section 1 and 2, creation of study guide questions by students in groups
THURSDAY 3/13--DW, Go over Section 3 and 4, creation of study guides by students in groups
FRIDAY 3/14--DW, Study Guide for information from notes and lectures. Century Video with Guided Questions.
Along with the WWII information we will use a variety of film clips and videos to help you see and understand from testimonies what it was like to be living in World War II era. Please try to be here daily so that you can get all of the information.
