We will continue studying WWII this week by looking at the Holocaust, the Home front, and major events of WWII. The test over Ch 14 will include the Holocaust as well. The Monday and Tuesday we will be seeing information on the Holocaust from a primary resource. A primary resource is when you hear and see events from people who lived or witnessed the experience. The resource we will use is called SHOAH, Remembering the Holocaust. Stephen Spielberg helped produce this resource and many of the interviews are available at the Smithsonian Holocaust museum as part of their resources. Remember this is for 3rd hour only as 4th and 5th periods will be taught by Miss Smith.
3/17--Happy St. Patrick's Day! DW, Quiz over Ch 13, Go over notes on Holocaust, read one more Chapter from Eva Kor book.
3/18--DW, Life at Camp chapter in Eva Kor book. Civilians at War video with guide.
3/19--DW, Holocaust Activity, begin going over notes on Ch 14 Section 1.
3/20--DW, Sections 2 and 3 notes with propaganda pictures and film clip
3/21--DW (turn in when done), Section 4 notes with clips from Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan on DDay, may continue on Monday.
Note: More than likely we will test on Chapter 14 next week on 3/25.
