We are almost to the end of the grading period and the end of 2018. Keep focused as we continue to learn about the 1950s and wrap up our time in the decade. Be sure to look at what needs completed and turn in this week.
MONDAY 12/17--Daily Question, look at the impact of mass media on the decade and our youth, use clips from 1950s television and music, handout worksheets to study section 4. It will be due on Wednesday.
TUESDAY 12/18--Daily Question, The Century with guide about times and culture the US experienced in the 50s, study guide for test will be handed out
WEDNESDAY 12/19--Daily Question, Kahoot review on Cold War, Cold War test, start October Sky
THURSDAY 12/20--Daily Question, October Sky with prompts to make you realize how the Space Race, Poverty, and Education impacted people
FRIDAY 12/21--Daily Question (COLLECT), wrap up October Sky with prompts completed
Questions for this week...
MONDAY: What role does music play in the lives of teenagers? How do they access music today? (NOTE: Discussion on importance if music, generation gap, and how we access music today compared to other decades)
TUESDAY: Would you have liked living in the 1950s as a teenager? Explain why or why not.
WEDNESDAY: The launching of Sputnik pushed students to learn more math and science. Explain if you feel there is something that is guiding or pushing certain classes or education today?
THURSDAY: What role can teachers or schools play in pushing students to achieve or inspire them to reach for high goals?
FRIDAY: What are you most looking forward to over break?
