This week we will take a close look at the Constitution and the impact the document has on our country and lives. You will be asked to memorize different parts of it, especially some of the Amendments and the Checks & Balances.
Monday 8/24--DDOG, Go over section 1 Ch 3 on the parts of the Constitution, break into groups to study and explain the principles, finish WWYD if time
Tuesday 8/25--DDOG, go over Amendment process, worksheet on looking up the Amendments and hypothesizing what event or situation led to the creation of it, discussion over the Amendments
Wednesday 8/26--DDOG, notes/lecture over informal Amendment process and Federalism, study guide for test
Thursday 8/27--DDOG, Test over Ch 2/3, Begin 9-11 Unit--Primary Source on the Twin Towers
Friday 8/28--DDOG (Current Events), CNN Remembers Resource w/notes and listing of government responses during a national crisis

Monday 8/24--Look at the list of the Bill of Rights and discuss what Amendment of the 10 do you feel is the most important to you personally?
Tuesday 8/25--Explain if you have an opinion on what part of government should have the most power in regards to state or federal government in your daily life?
Wednesday 8/26--Which Amendment do you think was the most critical to create for our country or you personally (not in the Bill of Rights)?
Thursday 8/27--What do you remember about the events from September 11, 2001?
