Continue studying Ch 1 by studying the basic concepts about why we have government and how we classify government. After we test on Wednesday we will have a brief history on the reasons the Constitution that we follow today was created. The Constitution will then be looked at as a document so you understand how it is organized and some of the changes that have taken place over the years,
MONDAY 8/15--News, Preamble study with School House Rock, Section 2 of Ch 1 with lecture and notes, Footloose in Arizona if we have time-current issues in politics, finish with School House Rock
TUESDAY 8/16--News, Preamble study with School House Rock and Leo, Section 3 with Duties and Responsibilities of Citizens, if time allows pick a WWYD segment or Making a Difference
WEDNESDAY 8/17--News, Ch 1 Test, students will write Preamble prior to test, When done start reading Ch 2 in book and we will start summarizing the history of the Constitution. Explain the popularity of Hamilton and use a clip in class.
THURSDAY 8/18--News, begin Ch 3 with notes and lecture about the set up of the Constitution and the basic principles on which it is based.
FRIDAY 8/19--News (turn in sheets), assignment on Amendments that need to be memorized and exploring the history behind them, Current Issues clip will also be left with worksheet if needed.
