Well it is a new year and there is still so much learning and growing to be done. While we are ending our first grading period for the trimester you will still have a huge impact on your grade. In government we will be finishing our studies of voter behavior by looking at strategies used to sway and inform voters. We will look at actual presidential commercials and review your thoughts on them. After we complete that we will begin studying the branches of government by looking at Congress. Considering that we are starting a new term of Congress this January I cannot think of a better topic to discuss at this time.
MONDAY 1/5--DDOG, Welcome 2015 by looking at 2014 in review, finish Swing Vote, explain campaign advertising strategies
TUESDAY 1/6--DDOG, Living Room Candidate Website and Assignment-historical commercials
WEDNESDAY 1/7--DDOG, Ch 10 to be read and with assignment, go over section 1
THURSDAY 1/8--DDOG, Ch 10 Sec 2 and 3 explained with assignment
FRIDAY 1/9--DDOG, Ch 10 Quiz, news

Monday 1/5--Share one life lesson you learned last year and one thing you would like to accomplish or learn in 2015.
Tuesday 1/6--What are ways to get in touch with political leaders if you have an issue or concern? If you do not know the answer, how would you begin to look for those resources or opportunities?
Wednesday 1/7--What are the requirements/qualifications you want to see in people who represent you in offices like Congress? Why are those qualities important?
Thursday 1/8--Does your elected Congress represent you and your views well? Please explain. If you are unable to answer this how can you find out this information?
