Welcome to the website for our United States History Class. In this trimester we will be studying the period of history starting with the post-Civil War era through The Great Depression. So much of our country's growth and development are tied to the events of this time period, and often still impact us today. I hope that you enjoy learning about the events and people as I do teaching you about it.
MONDAY 8/17--HFOTD (explained), finish discussion of Civil War era with Story of US guide completed, share story of Gone with the Wind and how the South was left after the war, start reading Section 1 of Ch 4 in history book with notes and activity.
TUESDAY 8/18--HFOTD, Section 1 and 2 of Ch 4 with notes and clips from Dances with Wolves & Tombstone,
WEDNESDAY 8/19--HFOTD, Section 2 and 3 concluded with lecture and notes, news if time allows
THURSDAY 8/20--HFOTD, Ch 4 Test, begin reading Ch 5, news if time allows
FRIDAY 8/21--HFOTD, Ch 5 activity
