Wow hard to believe this is our last week prior to finals!!!! We will be finishing up learning about the judicial system, but also taking time to learn about the elections that will be taking place very soon. Be sure to keep watching, reading, and listening to the news from a variety of sources. You never know what can happen in the days leading up to a close election. I have included the power point for Ch 18 below. Be sure to read the information in the chapter, focus on the terms, and also know the court cases that you will be provided in class.
MONDAY 10/29--Finish up group scenario work and share with the class judgements on court cases. You will need to know the names of the court cases that we discuss on this day. Go over Section 2. VIGO COUNTY HISTORY and IMPACT ON ELECTIONS
TUESDAY 10/30--Go over sections 2 and 3, work on assigned court cases to look up. A LOOK AT THE BALLOTS
WEDNESDAY 10/31--Civil Rights cases and outcomes in class, review cases to know. Quiz on Thursday. WEBSITES FOR REVIEWING CANDIDATES
THURSDAY 11/1--Ch 18 Quiz, Begin A Civil Action Film ELECTION FACTS
FRIDAY 11/2--A Civil Action continued, and handout final exam study guide and letter writing assignment CURRENT EVENTS AND ELECTORAL COLLEGE
