We will finish taking a look at the Constitution as the framework of our American government. As we wrap up the chapters on the Constitution we will take a look at a real world situation and the response of the government. I think you will like what we study and also see the importance of the branches and levels of government to work together.
MONDAY 8/22--News sheet (start a new one), discuss the scavenger hunt from Friday, break into groups to go over the principles of the Constitution, students will work on sheet making predictions about events or situations that led to Amendments. We will go over these on Tuesday.
TUESDAY 8/23--News sheet, history lesson on Amendments, Bill of Rights explained. If time political cartoon activity on Bill of Rights.
WEDNESDAY 8/24--News sheet, finish Chapter 2 and 3 information, review for test on Thursday with Kahoot. If time do a WWYD clip.
THURSDAY 8/25--News sheet, Ch Test over Constitution, begin 9/11 Unit in response to how the government reacts to crisis. Clips and primary resources will be used. We will also look at how the event impacted culture and values in our country that still have an effect today.
FRIDAY 8/26--News sheet, use of CNN Remembers with writing activity, slides of information.
