Hard to believe finals are next week!!!! We will try our best to squeeze in some learning and discussions about the Court system in these last few days. I am sure you will enjoy the lessons. Please try your best to be here as many of you have some makeup work and we need to complete all of the last assignments. A large portion of you are graduating this trimester and I want to make sure you are all good to go on your work.
No daily dose of government this week, but on Friday you will turn in a current events story and explanation. Trying to focus on a story that is related to the Judicial System.
MONDAY 2/24--Share Presidential Projects. Assignment on writing presidential facts. You will be broken into groups and share your work. The projects are due today!
TUESDAY 2/25--Begin our study of the court system with an Indiana death penalty case. Use of American Justice documentary and writing assignment on your thoughts about death penalty.
WEDNESDAY 2/26--Finish American Justice film and discussion on death penalty. Handout information so students can write their conclusions to their persuasive essay. Handout scenarios for students to start on their own. Tomorrow they will work in groups.
THURSDAY 2/27--Turn in writing assignment. In groups student look at court cases and If time allows start sharing the information on the real cases. Letter assignment handed out. Due Monday, but if turned in Friday may earn bonus.
FRIDAY 2/28--CURRENT EVENTS article due, Look up Supreme Court cases in groups and go over information for courts. Current Events with CNN student news.
