Due to your questions and discussions (which I love) last weeks plan took longer than expected. This is a good thing, because it showed that you are trying to see how things work and function for cases and our citizens. So we will be playing a little catch up this week with the court system. A focus will be on actual court cases and rights of individuals. There will be a quiz on the cases at the end of the week.
MONDAY 5/13--Court Case scenarios, groups will be created to look at scenarios and try to predict how the court decided. We will then learn about the actual court cases have similar topics. Finish going over section 2 in PowerPoint.
TUESDAY 5/14--Finish discussing court scenarios and look up the court cases that you will be learning about for exam. Conclude PowerPoint information on Judicial System.
WEDNESDAY 5/15--1st hour senior breakfast. 4th hour will do What Would You Do? with discussion and current events
THURSDAY 5/16--What it is like to be a juror and review sheet for judicial system
FRIDAY 5/17--Court system quiz and letter assignment given, due MONDAY
