Since we have already studied the President and the members of Congress we will now take a closer look at voting, elections, and voter behavior. This will be a chance for you to look at what role you may play in the future while also understanding what influences the American voter. Remember a lot of times in government there is not just one right or wrong answer, but rather you look to understand how your country and politics can work. Voting can be a very powerful resource for our citizens and I hope that you are able to learn about the process and how to become an active citizen.
MONDAY 10/13--FALL BREAK continues
TUESDAY 10/14--DDOG, Sum up Ch 5 with PowerPoint notes, allow time to read Ch 6 in class, news if time allows.
WEDNESDAY 10/15--DDOG, Just VOTE video clip, Go over sections 1, 2, and 3 with notes. Share sample ballot information. News if time allows.
THURSDAY 10/16--DDOG, BIllboard assignment explained prior to going over section 4.
FRIDAY 10/17--DDOG DUE TODAY, Finish section 4 explanation, review political advertising strategies, start showing examples of commercials. Work on Billboards, due Monday.

10/15—Do you feel that there is a need for more than two political parties in the United States? Explain your answer.
10/16--What three words would you use to describe our election process. Explain your choices.
10/17--What is your favorite commercial? Is it possible to make commercials like that to grab the attention of voters to increase voter turnout
