MONDAY 11/18--DDOG, We will review Preamble a few more times today and have Quiz on Tuesday. I am not sure how clear I was about having a quiz on Monday, so I would rather give you one more day to prepare and make sure you have your preamble memorized. We will finish talking about the Current Issue of Poverty in America and our community with resources, etc. After that we will start a Constitution Scavenger Hunt that we will start today.
TUESDAY 11/19--DDOG, Chapter 1 Quiz and Preamble. Begin Reading Ch.3 when done. After everyone is done we will briefly explain the necessary parts of Chapter 2 via PowerPoint.
WEDNESDAY 11/20 -- DDOG, Group discussion--Each group will be given a Principle of our Constitution from Section 1 Chapter 3 and they will explain that principle to the class while the students try to guess which principle it is. Continue explaining Chapter 3 and watch CNN student news if time allows. Power Point notes and handouts will be given for this chapter to fill in along with lecture. Begin going over Section 2.
THURSDAY 11/21--DDOG, Students will continue to go over section 2 with PowerPoint and history lesson. Special focus on pages 80 and 81. Why do we have some of the Amendments that were created will be highlighted in the discussion. You will need to know certain Amendments for our test. They are highlighted and mentioned in class and on Power Point for the Chapter. Review information in Ch 3 Section 3 along with Federalism information from Ch 4.
FRIDAY 11/22-- DAILY GOVERNMENT journaling due after writing about a current event, QUIZ on Chapter 2 (with highlights from 2 and 4). and begin September 11 Unit for understanding roles of government in domestic and foreign affairs. Writing notes and facts from film. CNN Remembers and Power Point slides.

11/20--Look at Bill of Rights along with pages 80 and 81. What do you feel is the most important Amendment to the Constitution and why?
11/21--If you could add one more Amendment to the Constitution what would it be? Explain.
11/22--Current Event, or reflect on the 50th Anniversary of JFK Assassination.
