Welcome back from break! We have some busy weeks ahead learning about the impact of WWII on the Homefront and beyond for the United States. We will be using a variety of resources that will help you try to understand the times.
MONDAY 11/26--Daily Question, Start Chapter 17 with notes on the Mobilization of America, use Story of US for half the class with guide
TUESDAY 11/27--Daily Question, focus on the propaganda to help the country prepare for WWI (Dr. Suess, Disney, and posters), extra credit opportunity for coloring WWII posters
WEDNESDAY 11/27--Daily Question, the war in Europe with notes and lecture, use clips from Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers to show the early moments of the invasion
THURSDAY 11/28--Daily Question, conclude the war in Europe and work on the War in the Pacific with notes and lecture, clips from Story of US with guided questions
FRIDAY 11/29--Daily Questions, Impact on Minority groups in the WWII era, images from history on internment camps (Test will be Tuesday)
