We will finish up discussions about the Presidential projects and photographer will learning the rest of Chapter 13. We will then take a look at the last branch of government, the judicial system, as we begin to prepare for the end of the trimester. Based on previous classes I am sure you will enjoy our lessons on the courts and some examples of court cases.
MONDAY 10/28--CNN student news, go over section 2 and 3 in the book with power point. Summarize discussions of the presidential projects.
TUESDAY 10/29--CNN student news, go over section 4 and do a brief review of the study guide questions. If time allows CNN student news,
WEDNESDAY 10/30--Chapter 13 test. If you owe a Chapter 10 or 12 test it must be made up at this time unless you have made other arrangements. When you are done with your test you will do a pre-write on your opinion of the death penalty and sharing what you know about it. Begin American Justice film on death penalty case in Indiana.
THURSDAY 10/31--American Justice, court case of an actual death penalty appeals case in Indiana. There will be moments where we will pause and explain parts of the process. We should finish it today with a written conclusion on your thoughts of the case and death penalty. Turn in writing assignment.
FRIDAY 11/1--Begin reading judicial system chapter and break into groups for predicting cases.
