This week we will begin the studying of WWII and the impact it had on the world. Be sure to look at the impact of Patriotism on involvement and also how the war impacts people personally. Be sure to study the vocabulary words and be here for the extra resources we will be sharing in class.
MONDAY 3/11--Daily Work, notes and continue with the US preparing for war on the military, factories, and scientific areas of our country. Use clips from Story of US with guided questions. You will be responsible for the information on that guide.
TUESDAY 3/12--Daily Work, today we will study propaganda by looking at examples and watching clips from cultural films like Captain America. Extra credit will be provided for coloring and explaining WWII posters.
WEDNESDAY 3/13--Daily Work, the War in Europe with clips and start looking at the D-Day invasion, if time allows show clips from Story of US and images from other resources
THURSDAY 3/14--Daily Work, vocabulary and chapter work that will be collected on test day--primary readings and maps
FRIDAY 3/15--Daily Work, finish the information on the invasion in Normandy--clips from Band of Brothers and liberating Europe, start of the war in the Pacific (reading of Dale Swickard)
