We will officially move on to our next branch of government as we begin studying the Executive Branch or the Presidency after the Chapter 12 Test. Many of you have show interest and curiosity in our Chief Executive and also those of the past. I look forward to our lessons and discussions on how the President leads in our country and the world. Just a reminder that 1st and 2nd period will finish up Chapter 12 with the ISU teachers. You will all be back with me starting Thursday.
MONDAY 10/14--FALL BREAK
TUESDAY 10/15--Finish Chapter 12 information and show 60 minutes video on lobbying gone wrong. Chapter 12 study guide and review.
WEDNESDAY 10/17--Chapter 12 Test, CNN student news, Drew Carey current issues and worksheet.
THURSDAY 10/18--Begin activity on Presidential Hats. As you begin this chapter I want you to especially pay close attention to all the roles that the President must fill in his job when you read. This chapter will not have a study guide or worksheet, so you are responsible for reading and working through the information as we discuss in class. Go over section section 1with class. Assign Presidential Project for lab time Friday.
FRIDAY 10/19--LAB DAY to work on Projects. They are due Thursday 10/25 in class for sharing. They must be turned in on this day because you will be sharing your project in class. If it is late you will lose 10 points or more. Your classmates learning about the presidents will be dependent on you having your project there.
No Daily Dose of Government this week! We have so much to cover and must be ready to go at the start of each class period. Plus we will be starting projects at the end of the week.
