Well we have been hearing about the importance of 2016 as voters and citizens for over a year now and here we are! It is officially Presidential election year and the months ahead will be very exciting. Now that we have returned from break I can't wait to go on this adventure with you. These will be some important lessons that I am hoping you will take with you as you prepare to be voters and adults in our communities.
MONDAY 1/4--News sheets handed out. 2015 Year in Review videos and then news of today. Democrat and Republican sheets with predictions on where you fall and notes.
TUESDAY 1/5--News with sheets, finish the difference between Democrats and Republicans, oral/group quiz to check for understanding, handout history of voting and the voting process notes packet if time allows.
WEDNESDAY 1/6--News with sheets, Voting-Who Can Vote and History of Obstacles (videos with John Legend, VOTE)
THURSDAY 1/7--News with sheets, impact of Public Opinion and Advertising on Voters, begin Living Room Candidate assignment
FRIDAY 1/8--News with sheets (collect), Living Room Candidate assignment as a class-history of political commercials
