We just passed the midterm of the grading period. Be sure to check your grades and follow up with me if you are missing assignments or tests. Most of you look to be in great shape. We will be starting to study the period of history that greatly impacted our population and our country. Immigration and the development of cities changed the makeup of our country forever, and gave so many people a chance for a new start. It would be interesting for you to find out when your family came to our country, because chances are many of them probably migrated to the United States during this time.
MONDAY 8/31--Daily News/HFOTD, finish looking at Ch 6 section 3 on labor unions (quiz tomorrow), students will finish the Story of US worksheet on Cities that covers immigration and labor conditions
TUESDAY 9/1--Daily News/HFOTD, Quiz over Ch 6, Start Chapter 7 with reading of section 1 and assignment. CBS News the last part of the hour.
WEDNESDAY 9/2--Daily News/HFOTD, Worksheets on Ch 7 Sections 2 and 3--due tomorrow, start Far and Away with assignment given
THURSDAY 9/3--Daily News/HFOTD, Worksheets due on Ch 7, go over Section 2, Far and Away with assignment
FRIDAY 9/4--Daily News/HFOTD, Section 3 with Far and Away--conclusion, quiz on Monday
