for the college application process.

Banned Books Week
Banned Books Week (September 26-October 2, 2021) is an annual event from The American Library Association that celebrates the freedom to read and spotlights current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools. While books have been and continue to be banned, Banned Books Week celebrates the fact that, in a majority of cases, the books have remained available thanks to the efforts of librarians, teachers, students, and community members who stand up and speak out for the freedom to read. This year’s theme is “Books Unite Us. Censorship Divides Us.”
Students are encouraged to stop by the Learning Commons to check out the Banned Books display, learn more about censorship and find out why some of their favorite titles have been challenged.
Mr Wohner's Robotics class was roaming the halls of RHS
on Sept 24th . Their first robot build served as the perfect platform to remind us all to continue to practice good hygiene.
Pictured are some students using the hand sanitizer
that the robots delivered.

Student News
Michaela Tsapatsaris (12th) is a four-time State of New Jersey champion in cycling. Even with her expertise, she felt unsafe on local roads and began to look into safe passing laws. Michaela discovered that 42 other states have safe passing laws, but not New Jersey. Even though people have been trying to get a law passed in NJ for more than 10 years, she decided that she needed to take action. After lobbying with many New Jersey legislatures and meeting with so many passionate advocates, Michaela got the opportunity to testify at both the state senate and the state assembly for the potential law as a youth representative. Throughout this journey, she got to meet with people who have lost family members on the road, and she really understood the importance of the law. After months of hard work, the bill finally became a law and was signed by the governor!
