We are at the end of February and this episode finished up the 4 weeks of things that I love. This episode I share a bunch of little things, instead of just one. I share things like the sun and sunset. Experiences with family like playing games and being at the beach. I also mention foods that I love, caramel, as one example. Then at the end I invite all of you to make your own list of things that you love. Take the time to reflect on all of the things you love and make life so much richer for you.
Show Notes: Hi Friends! I hope you enjoyed listening to this episode. Below are all the references.
Things I learned this week: This week I shared a bunch of little things that I love. Starting with the sun. Wow after a winter with lots of gray days I sure havea learned to appreciate the sun and then I love enjoying a beautiful sunrise or sunset.
The second thing that I love is also the beach and being by the water. I have felt so blessed to be able to be close to Lake Erie and to enjoy paddle boarding or just spending time by the water. It has been such fun place to be able to raise my family.
The third thing that I mentioned was my gratitude journal. I really enjoy starting the day thinking about things that I was grateful for the day before. It is also such a great way for me to document my day and also take some time to reflect.
The fourth thing I mentioned is caramel. I really do love good caramel and am I bit of a caramel snob so I only like certain caramels. I put my favorite recipe in my newsletter if you want to go find it there.
The fifth thing I mention is my love of ice. I mean I really love a some ice with all of my cold drinks. Then I also love my Stanley cup that keep my ice so cold and my water tasting amazing.
The sixth thing that I mentioned is that I love playing games with my family and friends. I have learned to not be super competitive. I love a good card game or just time getting together with a bit bowl of popcorn in the middle of the table. I also have fond memoried of playing games with my extended family as well. Some games that I mentioned are Taboo, Bananagrams, Nertz, The Loud Librarian and the card game golf. I enjoy challenging my brain while playing games.
The seventh thing that I mentioned is Korean food. I have gotten into watching Korean Dramas on Netflix and love all of the food that they eat. So I have been trying to make some good food as well as tend to go get Asian type food whenever we have an oppotunity to go out. I also mentioned the Yut Nori Korean game that my daughter and her husband gave me for Christmas.
The final few things that I mention in the episode is, ice cream, my weighted blanket, a good smelling candle, a cozy night with my family watching a movie and then rearranging furniture. When I was growing up I used to rearrange my room every time that I cleaned. Lately I don't do that as much but it is something I love trying. Seeing how a room can change by simply rearranging it and not spending a dime.
It was fun thinking about all of the things that I love this month. What are some of the things that you love? I invite you to take time to reflect.
