Episode 45: Working through overwhelm

working through overwhelm - episode 45

“Bear with us, while we think.” I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with keeping up with all the things I am learning and sharing. And there were some things I was forgetting to do. I felt like I needed a little more time to process and think. In the episode I share what I did to get through the overwhelm. Things like writing down my thoughts and making a plan helped me to get through and find more energy. Hopefully this episode can help you work through your overwhelm as well.

Show Notes: Hi Friends! I hope you enjoyed listening to this episode. Below are all the references.

We do need time to think. We do need time to digest. We do need time to misunderstand each other, especially when fostering lost dialogue between humanities and natural sciences. Try identifying what thoughts are causing you to feel overwhelmed. Even the thought, “There are so many things to work on,” feels so innocent and factual but it’s contributing to the overwhelm.

Here are some new thoughts to consider:

I will make the most progress when focusing on one thing at a time.

Working on one thing will help me improve in all things.

There is no rush to improve.

I’m learning this at the perfect pace.
