Ingredients
2 ¼ c flour
1 c packed brown sugar
¾ c shortening
¼ c molasses
1 egg
1 t baking soda
1 t ground ginger
1 t ground cinnamon
½ t ground cloves
Directions
1) In a mixing bowl, combine ½ of the flour, brown sugar, shortening, molasses, egg, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
2) Beat with a mixer until well mixed, then add the rest of the flour. Mix.
3) Roll into 1 in. balls and roll in sugar.
4) Bake @ 375 for 8-10 min.
