Ingredients
2 bags of Extra Butter Popcorn
1 c sugar
1/4 c Corn Syrup
1 stick of Butter
1 T vanilla
Directions
Pop popcorn
1) Open and empty popcorn in large mixing bowl to cool. Remove kernels by tapping the bowl on the counter multiple times, kernels will sink to the bottom of the bowl. Remove popcorn with two hands the popcorn that is on top, and place popcorn into the lined roasting pan. Finish removing all the popcorn until only kernels are left in the bowl, discard the remaining kernels. Set aside pan of popcorn.
Caramel
2) In a medium sized saucepan melt butter, add sugar and corn syrup, mix. Bring to a boil on medium heat. When it starts to boil, do NOT stir. Boil for exactly 2 minutes then remove from heat. Add vanilla and stir until blended.
3) Drizzle the caramel on top of the popcorn.Using the wooden spoon or silicone spatula, mix the caramel over the popcorn. This recipe is best if it is not mixed perfectly allowing the salty buttery popcorn to pair with caramel popcorn bits.
