Ingredients
1 cup chicken broth
¼ teaspoon soy sauce
¼ teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons water
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
⅛ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
Directions
1) In a small saucepan on medium heat, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
2) Bring to a boil.
3) In a small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and 2 teaspoons of water to dissolve the cornstarch; pour into the boiling broth.
4) In the small, empty bowl, whisk the egg and pour the egg into the soup, but DO NOT STIR.
5) Let sit for 1 minute, then season with chives, salt and pepper before serving.
