Ingredients-Cake
2 c sugar
2 c flour
1 t baking soda
½ t salt
2 cubes butter
1 c water
4 T cocoa
2 cubes butter
1 c water
4 T cocoa
1 bag chopped walnuts
Ingredients-Icing
1 cube butter
4 T cocoa
6 T buttermilk
3 c powdered sugar
1 t vanilla
Directions
1) Mix sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
2) In a saucepan, combine the butter, water, and cocoa. Bring to a boil and pour over dry ingredients, mix by hand.
3) In a small bowl beat eggs, and set aside.
4) Add buttermilk to the original mixture, then add in beaten eggs, then vanilla.
5) Pour into a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
6) While baking, make icing.
7) In a saucepan combine the butter, cocoa, and buttermilk. Bring to a boil.
8) Add in powdered sugar (add more if needed), and vanilla.
9) Move into a bowl and beat with a hand mixer.
10) Spread on the cake while hot and sprinkle with nuts.
