Soul singer to appear at Stamford IBC social event

Canadian-born soul singer Una Pettiford will be making her debut at Stamford indoor Bowls Club on February15 at an event organised by the social club.

Described as 'soulful with a powerful voice' , Una, who is based in Hertfordshire, has wowed audiences with her energetic renditions of classic Motown, jazz and R& B hits by Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight and many others.

CAROL CONCERT RAISES £100

SIBC social committee raised £100 for charity by staging a concert by the Great Casterton Church Community Choir on December 8.

More than 60 attended and joined in enthusiastically, also enjoying tea, coffee and mince pies.
