Stamford regains Lincs Junior League title

WITH AN 18-12 defeat of Boston, Stamford's junior bowlers regained their grip on the Lincolnshire 18 and Under League, winning it for the second time in three years.

Louise Harris, James Hebden, Jay Travis-Jenner and Stephen Harris are all great prospects and each played their part in a series of victories leading to the title, which included wins over Sutton St James (30-9) , Spalding B (40-5) and only one defeat at the hands of Spalding A (16-21).

Against Boston, they were never behind though conceding a four count on the 12th end, spurred them into to action to stretch their lead to 17-10, with handy conversions and immaculately drawn shots.

On the 20th end Boston held two close shots before Stephen Harris drew a toucher to end the visitors' hopes of a comeback.
