Medium tier clubs can carry on, says EIBA

The introduction of the Government's 3-tier system from October 14 to control COVID-19, does not yet effect indoor bowls at the Stamford club, which remains open for leagues and organised roll-ups.

For such clubs in an area of medium risk (Tier 1) no further action is required from the EIBA’s last Guidance of September 26. Organised sport can continue to take place indoors for up to six people per rink.

Members or visitors who live in a high risk area are also able to play at medium tier clubs but only with people from the same household / support bubble.

The club cafe is permitted to be open, but with table service only.

Members who wish to take part in the Tuesday and Thursday roll-up sessions are encouraged to either book online via the 'DIARY' section at the top of this page or phone the club ( 01780 756452) during daily sessions, when reception is manned. It is important that these roll up sessions - where the cafe is also in operation - are fully subscribed. BW
