LINCS GO FOR 'SEPTEMBER RE-START'

The Lincs Indoor Bowling Association has revealed it still has September pencilled in as a potential starting date for its series of county league games, despite the threat of coronavirus lockdown still being in place.

Following talks between County secretary Graham Smith and chairman Richard White, Mr Smith said: "We do not feel we are quite at that point yet where we officially write off part or the whole of next 2020-21 season.

He added that following negotiations with club fixture secretaries, the LIBA have all county league fixtures in place and will be working on re-arranging the postponed County Semi-Finals and Finals.

"The LIBA stance at present is we are preparing for a September start as normal, but will of course be listening to Government guidance and we will act accordingly," he added.
