MIXED REVIVAL

After picking up just seven points from three defeats in the Lincs Mixed League (South), Stamford finally landed their first win, at home to Skegness on Saturday.

It doesn’t lift them off the bottom of the table but offers some hope for a revival ahead of their next match at Grantham in the New Year.

Their latest 12 points from a possible 14 came from three winning rinks - the best of which included Henry Gordon, Val Du’Kett, Martin Wallace and Chris Ford who converted an early 16-2 lead into a 26-9 triumph.
