Mixed Fortunes for Mixed Teams

The term ‘mixed fortunes’ was never more apt than when associated with Stamford IBC at the weekend when its combinations of men’s and women’s teams contrasted in the extreme.

Having lost heavily on Saturday at Spalding in the Lincs Mixed League (South), Stamford re-grouped and playing two rinks home and away simultaneously against Peterborough IBC in the national Egham Trophy which they won by 55 shots.

They will play last year’s quarter-finalists Spalding Lightning in the next round on November 13.
