Competition Update

Entries are now invited for the 2020/21 County Competitions.

Hi Everyone,

We trust and hope you are managing to stay healthy and occupied during these strange and difficult times - sadly, without the support of the bowls community you cherish.

At Stamford Indoor Bowls Club we want to let you know we are thinking about you and working hard behind the scenes to keep the facility ticking over, despite the lack of bowlers through the doors while this nasty Coronavirus sweeps nation.

We need, however, to ensure the club hits the ground running as soon as it re-opens so we are approaching those members who could be attracted to take part in Lincs IBA 2020-21 county competitions which will start (hopefully) shortly after the start of the winter season.

All early matches will be played at Stamford IBA up to Christmas before those who are successful over one, two or even three rounds against club colleagues, are invited to take on qualifiers from other clubs in January and February.

Please note the last three "Open" competitions are open to both Gentlemen & Ladies. For other Ladies competitions please contact Glenys Edwards directly.

All Under 25 entries need to be made on this form from the 2020/21 season.

The cost is just £1 a player to enter on the form (see link below for form), which you need print out, complete and send or deliver to the club address by the June 1 deadline. Payment can be made by BACS, cheque or cash (see form for details).

The county advise that "regarding this seasons semi finals and finals, we will wait to see EIBA plans and see if we can squeeze these in in September or early October. Watch this space."

Many thanks in anticipation of your continued support.

Stay well.

(Lincs IBA delegate)

EIBA 2020 Summer National Competitions

Please note that the EIBA have provided the following statement:

2020 Summer Individual and Fantastic Fives National Competitions

With Clubs being closed the EIBA has taken the decision to cancel this Year's Summer National Competitions.

These Competitions are planned to take place in Summer 2021, so the EIBA would offer all entrants the opportunity to carry this year’s entry over to next.

However, if they wish to request a full refund then please email Claire Edson at claireedson@eiba.co.uk to start this process.
