62 - trouble at ewing 23

December 19, 1980: J.R. Ewing let a saboteur guy to blow out a Ewing Oil field because he had to share its profits with that Barnes little worm! Of course, good ol´ Bobby kicked his brother´s ass for doing that. That very last scene with the explosion of the oil field belongs to the history of the lousiest special effects ever used in a series!! This plot was more or less re-used in Season 9 but, in this case, they really blew out some (fake, I guess) oil fields. Also in this episode, Ray, who had just discovered that he was Jock´s son, learnt through Donna that she was dating the worm himself, ("but it´s not the same"...she said, and we wonder what she was talking about...) but he pretended not to care at all because he was so inferior to her...Ray, you were such an idiot sometimes! Meanwhile, Pam was getting closer and closer to finding out where her Mama was (actually, she met her in the next episode) and Sue Ellen, who, again, thought J.R. had changed, was being her bitchiest to everybody around her. Those were the post-Who Shot J.R. days and "Dallas" was living its golden years...

11 de marzo de 1984 (en Cataluña): J.R. Ewing dejaba que un saboteador volase un campo petrolífero de la Ewing Oil porque tenía que compartir sus beneficios con "el gusano de Barnes..." Por supuesto, el bueno de Bobby se le tiraba encima por hacer algo así. La última escena de la explosión del campo petrolífero pertenece a la historia de los peores efectos especiales jamás usados en una serie. Esa trama fue más o menos adaptada otra vez en la temporada 9 pero, en ese caso, sí que volaban unos pozos de petróleo (falsos, supongo). También en este episodio, Ray, que acababa de saber que era hijo de Jock, se enteraba a través de Donna que ésta salía con el gusano en cuestión, ("pero no es lo mismo"...decía ella, y nos preguntamos a qué se refería...) pero Ray fingía no importarle porque se sentía inferior a ella...y es que Ray, a veces podías llegar a ser tan idiota...Mientras, Pam se acercaba cada día más al paradero de su madre (de hecho, la conocería en el siguiente episodio) y Sue Ellen, que, de nuevo, creía que J.R. había cambiado, se comportaba como una arpía con cualquiera que estuviera cerca de ella. Eran los días posteriores al disparo contra J.R. y "Dallas" vivía sus años dorados...
