April 15, 1988: Sue Ellen Ewing defeated her husband J.R. with his own weapons: wheeling and dealing, alliances and back-stabbing. She left J.R. out of WestStar Oil, the company that, one year ealier, had caused the bankrupt of Ewing Oil. Now its former chairman Jeremy Wendell was restored in his charge and J.R. only had a minor share of the company and the deed of a small piece of land what made J.R. a winner again because the pipeline built by his rivals needed that land. Meanwhile, Cliff finally overcame his addiction to tranquilizers, Bobby fought to win the Ewing name back while dated Kay Lloyd (Karen Kopins), bonsai expert Laurel Ellis (Annabel Schofield) confessed Clayton she had to sleep with J.R. so he could be exonerated from murder charges, Ray tried to talk Connie out of seeing him again, and Sue Ellen got Kimberly Cryder´s help when her father died and she wanted revenge. This was one of the best Season 10 episodes and probably, should have been a better cliffhanger than the one with Sue Ellen shooting J.R.

23 de diciembre de 1989: Sue Ellen Ewing derrotaba a su marido J.R. con sus propias armas: negocios turbios, alianzas y traiciones. Conseguía que dejaran a J.R. fuera de la WestStar Oil, la empresa que un año antes había provocado la bancarrota de la Ewing Oil. Ahora el antiguo presidente de la empresa, Jeremy Wendell, era restituido en su cargo y J.R. sólo tenía una parte minoritaria de las acciones y la escritura de un pequeño terreno que le convertiría de nuevo en un vencedor, ya que el oleoducto construido por sus rivales necesitaba esa tierra. Mientras, Cliff superaba por fin su adicción a los calmantes, Bobby se esforzaba por recuperar el nombre de la Ewing Oil mientras salía con Kay Lloyd (Karen Kopins), la experta en bonsais Laurel Ellis (Annabel Schofield) confesaba a Clayton que J.R. la obligó a acostarse con él para que Clayton quedase libre de sus cargos de asesinato, Ray intentaba disuadir a Connie de volverse a ver y Sue Ellen conseguía la ayuda de Kimberly Cryder cuando ésta quería vengarse de J.R. por la muerte de su padre. Fue uno de los mejores episodios de la temporada 10 y seguramente habría sido un mejor cliffhanger que el del disparo de Sue Ellen a J.R.
