338: terminus

November 23, 1990: "Dallas"´ Bobby Ewing lost "wife no. 2" (as TNT´s J.R. would say...) in a crossfire between April´s kidnappers and the French police (non, pas l´Inspecteur Clouseau...). The couple were on their honeymoon trip in Paris when they met a mysterious woman called (presumably) Sheila Foley (played by "All My Children"´s Erika Kane, actress Susan Lucci) who turned out to be almost as wicked as Angelica Nero!! The twisted storyline involved OPEC, terrorism, a few murders and poor Bobby getting heartbroken...once again. Meanwhile, at home, J.R. took control of Ewing Oil after finally being let out of the sanitarium thanks to Cally and Sly. The show was in its last season and by killing April (whose performer Sheree Wilson had just given birth to her first baby), they got rid of the last of the remaining females of the cast, after losing Barbara Bel Geddes and Charlene Tilton at the end of the previous season. Only 3 actors from the original miniseries were left: Hagman, Duffy and Kercheval. Though it was not official, rumors said everybody knew it would be the very last season for the show. The Paris five episodes were among the best ones of that year in every sense, despite the boring subplot of J.R. at the sanitarium...

23 de febrero de 1991 (en Cataluña): Bobby Ewing perdía a la "esposa no. 2" (como diría el J.R. de la nueva "Dallas"...) durante un fuego cruzado entre los raptores de April y la policía francesa (non, pas l´Inspecteur Clouseau...). La pareja estaba en viaje de luna de miel en París cuando conocieron a una misteriosa mujer llamada (presuntamente) Sheila Foley (interpretada por la Erika Kane de "All My Children", la actriz Susan Lucci) que resultaba ser casi tan malvada como Angelica Nero...La retorcida historia tenía que ver con la OPEP, el terrorismo, unos cuantos asesinatos y el pobre Bobby acabando con el corazón destrozado...una vez más. Mientras, en casa, J.R. volvía al mando de la Ewing Oil tras poder salir del sanatorio gracias a Cally y Sly. La serie estaba en su última temporada y, con el asesinato de April (cuya intérprete Sheree Wilson acababa de dar a luz a su primer hijo), se libraba de la última actriz del reparto que quedaba, tras perder a Barbara Bel Geddes y Charlene Tilton al final de la temporada anterior. Sólo quedaban 3 actores de la miniserie original: Hagman, Duffy y Kercheval. Aunque no era oficial, apuntan los rumores que todo el mundo sabía que iba a ser la última temporada. Los 5 episodios rodados en París fueron de los mejores de aquel año en todos los sentidos, a pesar de la aburrida subtrama con J.R. en el sanatorio...
