January 11, 1980: J.R. Ewing found out that John Ross Ewing III actually was his own son, and not the son of his arch-rival and Sue Ellen´s former lover Cliff Barnes. The final scene with J.R. holding his baby lovingly for the first time is among the ten best "Dallas" scenes ever. It´s not only a fan favorite but also a favorite of its producers and writers. Also historic for giving J.R. his much-needed human side, that led him to star in 11 more seasons of the show, 2 tv movies and 17 additional episodes in the TNT´s "Dallas". The baby in question was, of course, the main protagonist and fan favorite in the current series, now played by Josh Henderson.
