115 - barbecue three

December 17, 1982: Miss Ellie ended her Southfork annual barbecue abruptly, after listening to the other oil men´s complaints and threats. Then she announced she would sell out Ewing Oil after declaring Jock mentally incompetent. Those were the days when Bobby and J.R. fought over the company´s control and their wives were afraid of what might happen to the family and their husbands...As we all remember, Pam eventually abandoned Bobby and Sue Ellen fell off the wagon again, while Miss Ellie got depressed (and, upon the TNT´s "Dallas", was committed into a sanitarium!) and Donna battled at the Energy Commission against J.R.´s devious tricks. Also in this barbecue, Holly Harwood gave Bobby a friendly kiss (after trying to get closer to him a few days before), Pam warned (unsuccessfully) Cliff not to start any quarrel, and Mickey tried to be social with some guests, since Lucy was not around (again). A great barbecue episode that almost ended up in a tragedy when the mob tried to make J.R. reason, with their fists!

24 de marzo de 1985 (en Cataluña): Ellie daba por terminada la barbacoa anual de Southfork de forma brusca, tras escuchar las quejas y amenazas de los otros petroleros. Luego anunciaba que iba a vender la Ewing Oil después de declarar a Jock mentalmente incompetente. En aquellos tiempos, Bobby y J.R. competían por el control de la empresa y sus mujeres temían lo que pudiera ocurrirle a la familia y a sus maridos...Como todos recordamos, Pam acabó dejando a Bobby y Sue Ellen volvió a beber, mientras Ellie se hundía en una depresión (y, según la nueva "Dallas", era ingresada en un sanatorio...) y Donna combatía, desde la Comisión de Energía, contra los retorcidos trucos de J.R. También en esta barbacoa, Holly Harwood le daba a Bobby un beso amistoso (tras intentar un contacto más cercano unos días antes), Pam advertía sin éxito a Cliff que no provocase una pelea y Mickey socializaba con las invitadas, ya que, de nuevo, Lucy parecía estar (físicamente) ausente. Un genial episodio de barbacoa que casi terminaba en tragedia cuando la multitud intentaba que J.R. entrase en razón a fuerza de golpes...
