229 - territorial imperative

October 31, 1986: Bobby (who had just "resurrected" in Pam´s shower, and whose father Jock had presumably return from the dead too), Pam and their (adopted) son Christopher (Joshua Harris) found Jenna´s daughter Charlie hanging out with a gang of "delinquents" in front of a sort of McDonald´s on "Dallas". The girl was oh-so-hurt because Bobby wasn´t going to be his daddy! And she didn´t know yet (neither Jenna nor us viewers) that Mom was going to be a single mother, once again! At the end of this episode, Presley´s character learnt by phone that her doctor had bad news for her...Rumors said that the writers had two choices: Jenna might be pregnant OR sick of cancer. The first one was the chosen and Ray revealed it to Bobby the next episode, one minute before marrying Pam again!! And no, the long-haired, blond guy in the scene was NOT Brad Pitt. Not yet, because Charlie dated Randy (Brangelina´s male half) in the following season...

14 de enero de 1989 (en Cataluña): Bobby (que acababa de "resucitar" en la ducha de Pam, y cuyo padre Jock supuestamente también había regresado de entre los muertos), Pam y su hijo (adoptivo) Christopher (Joshua Harris) encontraban a la hija de Jenna, Charlie, en compañía de una pandilla de "delincuentes" delante del McDonald´s de "Dallas". La chica estaba de lo más ofendida porque Bobby ya no sería su papi, y eso que aún no sabía (ni Jenna o nosotros los espectadores todavía) que Mami iba a ser madre soltera, otra vez...Al final de este episodio, el personaje de la Presley recibía malas noticias de su médico por teléfono...Los rumores de la época afirmaban que los guionistas tenían dos opciones: Jenna podía estar embarazada O enferma de cáncer. La 1ª opción fue la elegida y Ray se lo contaba a Bobby en el siguiente episodio, un minuto antes de casarse con Pam de nuevo. Y no, el chaval rubio de pelo largo que la acompañaba en la escena NO era Brad Pitt. Aún no, porque Charlie sí que se hizo novia de Randy (la mitad masculina de Brangelina) en la siguiente temporada...
