AROUND THE WORLD
DALLAS ha sido emitida, hasta la fecha, en más de 90 países, incluida RUSIA, HUNGRÍA Y JAPÓN, el único país donde pasó desapercibida. Actualmente, prosigue su emisión en el Canal de TV por Cable SOAPnet y en varias emisoras europeas. Aquí os ofrecemos un informe extenso, que esperamos completar, sobre la trayectoria de DALLAS en el resto del mundo, excluidos EEUU, ESPAÑA y GRAN BRETAÑA, que ya se mencionan en otra sección de esta web.
EN FRANCIA:
La serie comenzó en 1981 por la TF1 y luego pasó a la Televisión Privada, la Cinq. Años después, se ha repuesto en el Canal Jimmy a partir de octubre 1999.
EN HOLANDA:
EL canal AVRO nacional emitió de la serie solamente las 3 primeras temporadas (sin contar la miniserie), del 1981 al 1984. Luego nada: llegó la fiebre dinastinense, y el canal comercial RTL4 adquirió los derechos y la emitió en un ritmo frenético, no un episodio por semana sino varios, diariamente, por semana, hasta el 13 de julio de 1992.

EN ALEMANIA:
Los primeros 92 episodios fueron programados entre el 30 de Junio de 1981 y Abril de 1983. Luego hubo una pausa para poder doblar los siguientes episodios, y volvieron a emitir nuevos a partir de Septiembre 1983 hasta Diciembre 1984.
Todo esto en la primera cadena nacional alemana ARD, que eliminó algunos episodios, como WINDS OF VENGEANCE, e inclusó censuró algunas escenas, cosa que se ha comprobado en la Edición en dvd. Otra pausa para doblar, a partir de Septiembre de 1985,la siguiente temporada, etc. La emitieron de junio 1981 hasta septiembre 1991.
Luego ha habido repeticiones en la tercera cadena (1983, 1994, 1996, 1997), bei RTL (1992), Premiere (2000, 2002), en la cadena RTL2 (2001, 2002) y la Kabel1 (2002). DALLAS: THE EARLY YEARS lo emitió la segunda cadena ZDF el 15 de marzo de 1987.
EN HUNGRÍA:
Los nombres de ciertos personajes se cambiaron en la versión emitida por la TV húngara: JR se convirtió en JOCKEY y SUE ELLEN, en SAMANTHA. Comenzó su emisión de forma algo tardía, el 31 de diciembre de 1990, los viernes por la noche y durante 7 años seguidos. Las 4 primeras temporadas fueron reemitidas luego, pero no la serie completa.
EN ITALIA:
"Dallas presentó una extraña circunstancia: en su debut italiano, en horario nocturno por la Rai 1, el día de San Valentín de 1981, no obtuvo el éxito esperado. El motivo: un sucio truco jugado por la censura. La televisión estatal había enviado un referente vaticanista a USA para seleccionar los episodios. El público italiano seguía una serie sin el ritmo narrativo fundamental. Pero cambiaría su suerte con el responsable del naciente Canale 5, que adquirió el bloque completo de episodios directamente de la americana CBS. To this date, DALLAS has been aired in over 90 countries, including RUSSIA, HUNGARY and JAPAN, the only country where it went unnoticed. IN FRANCE:
The show debuted in 1981 on TF1 and then went on the private TV, then Cinq. Years later, it has been re-shown on the Jimmy Channel from October 1999 on.
IN HOLLAND:
Network AVRO only aired the first three seasons (mini-series apart), 1981 through 1984. Then came the Dynasty-fever and the private channel RTL4 adquired the rights and aired it on a frantic basis, not one episode per week but several, daily, up to July 13, 1992.

IN GERMANY:
The first 92 episodes were programmed between June 30, 1981 and April 1983. There was a pause then, to make time for dubbing next episodes, and new ones came from September 1983 through December 1984.
All this happened in the first German network ARD, which cut some episodes out, like WINDS OF VENGEANCE, and even censored some scenes, as proved on the dvd edition. Another pause for dubbing and, from September 1985 on, next season was aired and so on. It was aired from June 1981 through September 1991.
After that, there have been re-plays on the third channel (1983, 1994, 1996, 1997), bei RTL (1992), Premiere (2000, 2002), on RTL2 (2001, 2002) and Kabel1 (2002). DALLAS: THE EARLY YEARS was shown by the second channel ZDF on March 15, 1987.
IN HUNGARY:
The names of a few characters were changed in the version aired by Hungarian TV: JR became JOCKEY and SUE ELLEN became SAMANTHA. Its airing started late, on December 31, 1990, on Friday nights and during 7 years in a row. The first 4 seasons were re-aired afterwards, but not the whole series.
IN ITALY:
"Dallas" presented a strange circumstance: in its Italian debut, on Rai 1´s prime time, at Valentine´s Day of 1981, it did not get the expected acceptance. The reason: a dirty trick used by Censorship. The state TV had sent a Vatican consultant to USA in order to choose the episodes. Italian audiences were following a show without the basic narrative pace. But its luck changed thanks to the person responsible of rising Canale 5, who adquired the complete block of episodes directly to American CBS. "Dallas" entered the TV Olimpus and classified into the highest ranked ten shows in the history of then small channel."
