297 - wedding bell blues

February 24, 1989: J.R. Ewing married Cally Harper again, and this time at the traditional Southfork (fake) patio! A few months earlier, he had been forced at gun point to marry the girl by her very wild brothers, after she made them believe she was pregnant with his baby. After that, J.R. had run away from their farm and returned to Dallas. But Cally went after him and showed up at the ranch saying she was his wife. Using the same old lie again (now with Sue Ellen´s "kind" support), she got to become officially the new Mrs. Ewing. This episode was originally aired with the previous one ("Country Girl") as a two-parter, and used the formula of having a group of characters under the same roof, this time due to a tornado alarm. Sue Ellen tempted her associate Don Lockwood, Tommy McKay frightened nitwit April by getting into her bed all naked, Lucy warned his sister Tracey (Beth Toussaint) against being a Ewing wife, and, at the very end, Cally revealed that she wasn't pregnant...yet. Probably, the last great "Dallas" episode...
